>ALL CUSTOM AND REPAIR WORK REQUIRES A $50 SCHEDULING DEPOSIT<

(NOTE: DEPOSIT IS APPLIED TOWARD YOUR FINAL BILL)

Custom gun/gun repair deposits require payment by Credit/Debit card or Zelle©.  New Items and final payments on custom gun/gun repair work can be made by Credit/Debit card, Zelle©, or POSTAL MONEY ORDER only.   Obviously cash is always good.  Regarding the final bill, if other forms of payment are used (cashiers check, personal check, business check, credit card check, credit loan check, etc...) your firearm will not be shipped until the payment has cleared our bank (which could take up to 14 days).

WE TAKE TRADE-INS FOR PAYMENT ON CUSTOM OR REPAIR WORK! (firearms only)

If you are wanting a cataloged service performed on your firearm, you can ask us about trading in a firearm for full or partial payment on the final bill.  We are somewhat choosey about what we accept for trades, but don't be afraid to ask us, you might be surprised!

PAYMENT DETAILS in SUMMARY

>Credit, Debit, or Bank Cards are accepted by phone

>Zelle© payments can be paid to heffronprecision@outlook.com

>The only form of "check" we accept is a U.S. Postal Service Money Order, period.

>Regarding "Trade-Ins", just ask!  We can detail the details for you!  We will need multiple good quality photos before we can offer a trade estimate.

PLACING AN ORDER FOR CUSTOM or REPAIR WORK ON YOUR GUN

>When placing an order for custom firearm work you must first contact us via telephone so we can detail exactly what you want.  When you place an order, we WANT to talk with you.  That way, we avoid mistakes and provide you with the services you want.  We also take your deposit over the phone via credit or ATM card.  We will send you a confirmation email within days of your order containing your order number, forecasted ship date, and a copy of our FFL.

NOTE: Please do NOT ship your gun here until we notify you AND make sure that your order number is written on the outside of the box with a marker.  The date we give you at the time of your order is a FORECASTED ship date.  To prevent issues on both ends, we will contact you when we're ready to receive and service your firearm.

>Please read the "Firearm Services" page thoroughly to see what we have to offer.  For the sake of efficiency, we only offer services that we catalog.

>A deposit of $50 paid by a credit card, debit card, bank card, or Zelle is required to reserve shop time within the production lineup.  Please note, the reserve deposit is non-refundable, but it will be applied towards your final bill.

>We no longer do "Drop-Off",  "Walk-In", or "Pick-Up" orders.  We we can no longer execute "meet-ups" or "pick-ups".  I realize that some customers are occasionally within driving distance, but we simply don't have the time to do this.  I truly wish that I did because I enjoy meeting my customers!  You must have an order number and your firearm must be shipped here, then shipped back.  We do not have a storefront.  We are a small-scale custom firearms manufacturer and our shop/factory reflects that.

>PLEASE ship us a reasonably clean firearm.  Performing custom or repair work on a dirty gun consumes more time.  It does not have to be "spotless", but sending it in a reasonably clean state helps us out a lot.  It can easily take an hour to clean a gun and we cannot "give" that time away.  If we have to clean your firearm in order to perform the requested work there will be a $50 fee for doing so.

>When you ship your firearm make sure you write your order number on the outside of the box.  Yes, I know this was mentioned already, but it's important enough to mention it twice.

>You MUST ship your firearm through an FFL holder.  Follow all laws and shipping company rules when doing so.  We will need a copy of you chosen FFL Licensee's Federal Firearm License.  We can only ship back to an FFL holder.  Please understand, it's your responsibility to line up an FFL holder and provide us with a copy of their license and all contact information.

>We must collect 7% sales tax on all orders regardless of where you reside.  Under Iowa Law, you are doing business in Iowa so you are required to pay Iowa sales tax.

SHIPPING COMPANY POLICIES REGARDING FIREARMS

>There are 3 major shipping companies to choose from: USPS, UPS, and FedEx.  ALL FIREARM SHIPMENTS  must be shipped from an FFL licensee TO an FFL licensee regardless of which carrier you choose.  You can no longer ship it or receive it yourself unless you have an FFL.  (Heffron Precision is of course an FFL licensee)

>USPS allows Priority Mail Shipments for handguns. Their service is very reasonable in price.

>UPS requires that handguns be shipped "Next Day Air Early", "Next Day Air", or "Next Day Air Saver".  This is the most expensive shipping option you will find.

>FedEx
requires the use of "FedEx Express" Overnight Shipping.  Due to the shipping contract I have with FedEx, I can ship "FedEx Express Saver", which is a 2-4 day shipping option.  That alone saves a lot of money compared to UPS.  In addition, we get a deep discount that we pass on to you.  This is what we use exclusively for return shipping.

Whatever shipping company you choose, it's your responsibility to package your gun to make the trip safely.  You must find a business or individual with an active Federal Firearms License to ship your firearm.

HOW TO PACK YOUR FIREARM

The FIRST thing to remember when packing?  MAKE SURE YOUR FIREARM IS UNLOADED!!  The SECOND thing to remember is we ship your firearm back to you in the same container, box, and packing you used to ship it here.  We don't supply boxes or packing material.  The THIRD thing to remember is that your package might be handled like a football while it's in transit.  It's easy to get around this!  If you have the original factory case or an other style of pistol case (I am referring to hard plastic pistol cases) placing the handgun in that is the best.  Follow by firmly packing the gun case inside of a cardboard box.  This method of packing is the very best I have seen.  Packing big isn't as important as packing tight.  Remember, while weight increases shipping expense, many customers don't realize just how much package size impacts shipping expense!  Use a hard case packed in cardboard, pack as efficiently as possible, and you'll keep costs to a minimum while keeping your treasured firearm safe from damage!  Remember to insure your firearm for its replacement value.

WHAT TO INCLUDE WITH YOUR FIREARM

Inside of the box with your firearm, please provide your order number, your name, your address, your phone number, your email, and please write your order number on the outside of the box.  The FFL copy should accompany the firearm.

YOU MUST INCLUDE A GUN LOCK WHEN YOU SHIP YOUR GUN

The ATF has ruled that you MUST ship each gun with a gun lock.  The lock does NOT have to be installed, your shipment just needs to contain one for every handgun.  If you do not ship your gun with a gun lock, we'll have to supply one which will cost you $8.  If your gun has a built-in locking device (for example, the newer Smith & Wesson revolvers) a gun lock does not need to be included.

SHIPPING POLICY

Shipping expense both ways and any FFL dealer fees are the customer's responsibility regardless of the associated circumstances.  WE WILL ONLY SHIP WITH INSURANCE.  WE WILL ONLY SHIP VIA "ADULT SIGNATURE REQUIRED", WE WILL ONLY SHIP TO AN FFL LICENSEE AFTER WE RECEIVE A COPY OF THEIR LICENSE.  We will only ship within the confines of Federal, State, Local laws, and shipping company policies.
