HEFFRON PRECISION© offers CUSTOM PERFORMANCE TUNING for ALL Colt Double Action Revolvers that meet the following criteria: 1) Must have a swing-out cylinder 2) The cylinder must rotate clockwise.  This covers small frame Colts back to 1895, large frame Colts back to 1898, and medium frame Colts back to 1908.  We offer CUSTOM PERFORMANCE TUNING for all Colt Single Action Revolvers that fire metallic cartridges.  We also offer CUSTOM PERFORMANCE TUNING for all Smith & Wesson Double Action Revolvers that meet the following criteria:  1) The cylinder must swing out  2)  The cylinder must rotate counter-clockwise.  We offer complete repair services for these Colt and Smith & Wesson revolvers as well.  We do not offer engraving or refinishing services, but instead specialize in the mechanical performance, mechanical function, and accuracy performance of the amazing Colt and Smith & Wesson revolvers covered in our above description.  We are qualified for any and all of it as we are unsurpassed in our working knowledge, craftsmanship, and overall execution.

Our custom trigger and action tuning services have all been designed by a Mechanical Engineer, then fine tuned on AutoCAD, and extensively prototyped.  All custom trigger and action services must have proven durability through 120,000 - 150,000 dry fire cycles during the prototyping phase.  Here is an overview of the revolvers we service:

-Colt Old Series Double-Action Revolvers.  Small Frame 1895 and Later (ending with the Detective Special in 1995), Medium Frame 1908 and Later (ending with the old series Python Elite in 2005), Large Frame 1898 and Later (ending with the New Service in 1942).  All will have a CLOCKWISE ROTATING cylinder.

-Colt 1873 Single-Action Army and Associated Offspring - We Also Service Scout, New Frontier, and Peacemaker Single-Action Rimfire Revolvers.

-Colt Coil Spring Mechanism Double-Action Revolvers - J Frame MKIII (ending with Trooper MKIII in 1983), V Frame MKV (ending with Trooper MKV in 1985), AA Frame (ending with old series King Cobra in 1998), MM Frame (ending with old series Anaconda in 2003).

-Colt New Series Double-Action Revolvers Since 2017 - Small Frame (Cobra and King Cobra), Medium Frame (Python), Large Frame (Anaconda) with RA, PY, and AC Serial Number Prefixes.

-Smith & Wesson Double Action Revolvers with machined or MIM internal parts.  All Smith & Wesson revolvers that have a swing-out cylinder qualify for custom and/or repair services here.

I take care of the final-stage revolversmithing, design work, and "pointing the cane".  My wife Tammy takes care of workplace efficiency with her experience within the Manufacturing Engineering field, paperwork, shipping, and receiving.  She's even been known to answer an email or two!  She has someone working with her to assist with the sometimes-mountainous paperwork.  We have two terrific employees who are highly skilled machinists and they're as good as it gets when it comes to Colt revolver prep and Smith & Wesson work.  They make parts, fit parts, and on the custom revolver work they prep the internal revolver parts so I can perform the final fitment, finishing, and assembly (they are HIGHLY skilled and we affectionately refer to them as "The Wrecking Crew").  We are a family-operated company that can hold its head high in this competitive industry.
